Zev is Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department and Co-Chair of its Financial Services Group. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Compensation Committee.

Zev advises owners, developers, lenders, landlords, property and asset managers, and tenants in connection with multi-residential, seniors living, commercial, and retail properties. His practice focuses on acquisitions and dispositions, sophisticated leasing matters, and the structuring and negotiation of complex real estate transactions.

He regularly acts for Tier 1 commercial mortgage lenders, Schedule I banks, lending syndicates, and corporate borrowers on primary, secondary, mezzanine, and construction real property financings. Zev is particularly experienced in CMHC-insured financing transactions, including structuring and closing CMHC-backed loan facilities.

Zev also maintains a corporate-commercial practice, advising on asset and share acquisitions, financing transactions, and corporate structuring. He has experience working with both private and public companies, including start-ups and technology businesses.
