Rosanna Caira is majority owner of Kostuch Media Limited (KML). She is also the editor and publisher of Foodservice and Hospitality and Hotelier magazines, Canada’s two leading publications for the restaurant and hotel industries. Recently, KML added another magazine to its portfolio, when it acquired Stay magazine, which it plans to re-launch in the coming months.
Rosanna creates and drives forward the editorial vision of KML’s digital and print magazines, as well as all of KML’s associated multimedia products, including its websites and podcasts. Focused on strategic development and growth, Rosanna leverages her decades of experience and deep connections across the restaurant and hotel industries to lead KML’s teams ─ from editorial to sales to production, to create robust, insightful, and compelling coverage of restaurant and hotel news and trends.
In addition to KML’s leading print and digital media products, Rosanna also leads the KML team in its production of industry events, which include the Housekeeping Forum, the Women in Tourism & Hospitality Summit, the Top-30-under-30 program, the Icons & Innovators’ Breakfast series, and KML’s signature event, the Pinnacle Awards. Rosanna is committed to ensuring these events build community for all individuals working in the hotel and restaurant industries across the country, whether they are recent graduates, managers, or executives in the C-suite. In addition to her strategic direction and development of KML events, Rosanna often participates as a speaker, moderator, or judge at other organizations’ industry events.
In December 2025, Rosanna was appointed to the Order of Canada, an honour recognizing her decades-long contribution and commitment to the development of the Canadian restaurant and hotel industries and her service to the nation. Rosanna is also the recipient of the Ontario Hostelry Institute’s Gold Award in the media category, an honorary Bachelor of Business Administration from George Brown College, and Heritage Calabria’s President’s Award, presented to her recently in honour of her leadership, dedication and cultural advocacy for the Italian community.
Rosanna was born in Italy, before moving to Toronto with her family at the age of two. She is a graduate of York University, where she earned a BA in English Literature.
