James has more than 40 years of leadership experience across the real estate, construction, and investment sectors and currently serves as President & CEO of MasterBUILT Hotels. He was Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre from 2019 to 2021, gaining valuable insight into public policy, governance, and community development.

Educated at Harvard Business School and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, James is known for building high-performing teams and mentoring leaders. He has served on multiple for-profit and not-for-profit boards and has been recognized with the NAIT Alumni of Distinction award, NAIT Top 50 Under 50, and the Golden, Diamond, and Platinum Jubilee Medals.
