Having grown up working hospitality from a young age in Montreal, then through University in the Maritimes and eventually as a means to travel the world, Scott found his calling in Hotel Development. Following his time in various progressive operations, group sales and brand marketing positions with Starwood Hotels, Fairmont Hotels and Delta, Scott would join the Development world with Choice Hotels International in 2006. From there, Scott returned to Toronto-based Delta Hotels and Resorts in 2010 as their Executive Director of Growth to lead all franchised and managed new expansion for the brand across Canada.

Just prior to the acquisition of Delta Hotels by Marriott in 2015, Scott joined Chicago-based Hyatt Hotels Corporation to open their first Canadian Development Office. Since that time, Hyatt's presence in Canada has meaningfully expanded from a handful of legacy properties to more than 30 leading hotels and resorts found in every region of the country, and with a robust pipeline of properties under development expected to open over the months and years ahead.
