Scott has been active in the lodging industry for nearly thirty-five years and has significant experience in hotel branding and franchising from time spent leading the Canadian development efforts of Choice Hotels Canada, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and IHG Hotels & Resorts.
For a change of pace, he also three years as Vice President - Hotels at CBRE Limited. During this time, he worked across the country providing hotel investors with actionable insight on acquisition, disposition, valuation and branding.
Scott also served as Vice President Hotel Acquisitions & Business Development at Freed Developments he was focused on uncovering hotel acquisition and joint venture opportunities that can be enhanced and intensified through innovative design and thoughtful master planning.
Today, he leads the Canadian development efforts for IHG Hotels & Resorts with a particular focus on hotels in the premium, lifestyle and luxury segments.
The experience he gained in these roles has given him exposure to a broad range of hotel assets across the lodging spectrum and built enduring relationships with owners, developers and advisors from coast-to-coast.
