Jeff Appleby joined CIBC in 2002 and is responsible for the origination and execution of a variety of real estate investment banking transactions including IPOs, equity and debt offerings, M&A and financial advisory work.
Throughout his time at CIBC, he has worked on hundreds of public equity and debt offerings raising billions of dollars for real estate issuers and has worked on M&A advisory assignments totaling $20 billion. His transaction experience in the hospitality sector totals more than $4 billion including the sale of American Hotel Income Properties’ Economy Lodging portfolio for US$215 million and the $2.1 billion sale of InnVest REIT.
Jeff has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and a BA (Economics) from Western University.
