Dario is a progressive and dynamic College Administrator, Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and Industrial Engineer with over twenty years of professional experience within higher education and multinational organizations. In 2013, Dario started his career at George Brown College as the Chair of the School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. Currently, Dario is the Director, Work-Integrated Learning, Experiential Education & Global Mobility at George Brown College, responsible for providing strategic leadership in developing sustainable, college-wide work-integrated learning and experiential education programs locally and internationally.
Prior to joining George Brown College, Dario spent more than eleven years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he led the Talent Development team for the Canadian Region and HR initiatives for the Sales and Revenue Management division in the Toronto Metro Market. During his tenure with Starwood Canada, Dario built and executed talent management strategies in partnership with business leaders. As a certified trainer for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Dario led service culture training sessions in Canada and the United States. He was also a key contributor in the design and implementation of recruitment and talent development best practices for North America as well as on some global projects. Dario serves as President-Elect of EWO (Experiential and Work-Integrated Learning Ontario), as Director-at-Large for Colleges for the CEWIL (Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning) Canada Board and as the Executive Lead for BHER’s (Business / Higher Education Roundtable) National WIL Strategy. Dario is a Fellow of the Ontario Hostelry Institute, and in 2019 he was awarded the ‘Innovation of the Year’ by the League for Innovation Organization for his work on experiential education.
