In 2016, we launched the first ever Canadian Hotel Competition, called hotelNEXT.

It is a nationwide student competition – where aspiring young developers pitch their unique and feasible hotel concepts to a judging panel made up of Canadian investors and owners.

NEW THIS YEAR!

Our case competition will give Canadian University students a chance to showcase their inspiring designs on an under-performing hotel that needs a facelift!

Students will choose a market, review the operating history,  make renovation recommendations, present a capital plan, show how their ideas will improve the hotel’s performance and increase the ROI to the owner.

As of April 2017, the top three teams will be chosen and will be flown to CHIC, all expenses paid, to present their ideas.

At the event these teams will have 10 minutes to try to wow a panel of hotel investors and the winning team will receive a cash prize of $5000, with the second and third place runner ups receiving $3000, and $2000 respectively.

This world class competition will give the Canadian hospitality industry a chance to meet face-to-face with Canada’s brightest young minds!
